Leasing an aquarium from Aqualease couldn’t be simpler. From choosing the perfect aquarium to installation and ongoing maintenance, our team is here to make the entire process straightforward and hassle-free.
Choosing Your Aquarium
It all starts with a conversation with our friendly sales team. We’ll take the time to understand your requirements, the space you have available and the type of aquarium you’re looking for. Whether you’re interested in a 6-foot column aquarium, a cabinet style aquarium or a completely bespoke aquarium design, we can help you find the right option.
We also recommend a site visit. This gives an Aqualease representative the opportunity to assess where the aquarium will be installed and identify any factors that could affect its long-term condition. For example, direct sunlight can impact water quality, making the water more susceptible to becoming cloudy and encouraging algae growth.
During the visit, we will also advise on the most suitable aquarium size and discuss how the aquarium could complement your surroundings. We’ll look at your décor, company branding, school mottos and other themes that could be incorporated into the aquarium’s design.
Choosing the right fish is another important consideration. Our experienced team are there to talk you through the different options. They can also help you select livestock that is suitable for your aquarium, environment and requirements.
Professional Installation
Once everything has been agreed, we’ll arrange an installation date at a time that’s convenient for you, helping to minimise disruption to your school, care home, office or other setting.
Installation day is always an exciting occasion. Our maintenance technician will carefully position the aquarium in its chosen location, complete the necessary electrical work and install safety brackets where required.
We’ll then add the décor and water before introducing your fish – the most exciting part!
To help the aquarium establish gradually, we introduce 50% of the fish on installation day, with the remaining 50% added four weeks later. This helps prevent the aquarium from becoming overloaded too quickly, which can affect water parameters such as nitrates and pH. It also gives the fish time to settle into their new environment with as little stress as possible.
Before we leave, the aquarium will be thoroughly cleaned and checked to ensure it looks pristine.
Aquariums That Support Learning
For educational aquarium settings, we can also provide posters and information guides to display alongside your aquarium. These can help turn your aquarium into an engaging learning resource, providing students with opportunities to learn more about fish, aquatic environments and caring for living creatures.
Our technician will also spend time with members of staff, explaining the basics of aquarium care and establishing a suitable feeding routine for the fish.
A Low-Maintenance Aquarium Rental
An Aqualease aquarium is designed to be a low-maintenance solution. Our experienced technicians visit regularly to maintain your aquarium and ensure it continues to look as impressive as it did on installation day.
Your role is simple: feed your livestock, sit back and enjoy watching the beautiful fish swim through the aquarium and the plants gently sway in the current.
There are no hidden costs with an Aqualease aquarium either. If livestock, décor, equipment or pumps need replacing, these costs are covered as part of your monthly rental fee.
